  • If you are in the Netherlands, as your posting IP address indicates, you must set the language in IE to be Dutch in order to activate a new subscription to OneCare or you will be directed to http://get.live.com.

See this post for an explanation of you are being redirected to get.live.com during activation: http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1202298&SiteID=2

Your Billing account will be created when you purchase OneCare as part of activation.

  • Wait a few hours then click the subscribe button. Use the Live ID and password used to purchase One Care when prompted for a Live ID and One Care should activate.

I have already entered all my information and subscribed and do not want to risk duplication of a charge to my cr card by going back to Subscribe Now.

The subscribe now button will not cause you to be charged again as you first need to sign in with your LiveID and then follow a number of steps to confirm purchase if no subscription is on file. If your subscription is active, the subscribe now button looks up your existing subscription and activates the installed copy. That should have happened on completion of the purchase, so it would appear that something may be blocking the receipt of the activation message from the server.

If you are still unable to activate, confirm your subscription status at http://billing.microsoft.com

You can also contact support for help:

How to reach support - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.
