Windows Vista was Valid but then changed it's mind RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have neen running Vista Premium for a month or two now with no problems. My software was validated and was genuine. Today I logged on and tried to upload the latest mobility program to sync my mobile device and the computer said that my software was not validated. I checked in the Computer properties and it is validated so I tried to re enter my licence key. It siad it successfully validted but still my computer thinks it is not genuine software. I see this has been a somewhat common problem of late by these forums. Can you help.

  • I followed the advice on another thread and used the telephone activation. This worked but I am still curious as to why this has happened. Will it happen again next time I try to use windows update?

Above is the URL of the site that asked me to validate and failed. It was for Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6 (32-bit).

    Regards

  • Well when the computer starts up, you may be able to system restore. The samw problem happened to me.  When the comp starts up and the name of the the computer brand pops up, you press F11. I dont know if it works, but it worked for me
