  • I made some changes in my computer ,prog,setings,est..,and  it ask to restart win. then It stated I made,in my words alot of changes to windows and it needed to be revalidated.so I did.later on same thing,this time it clamed i validated the maximum number of times,to contact rep...I never hade that hapen before val.after mult.sys.changes..i just want xp activated ,one time with out having the dreaded 30 day countdown ,.has this happend before?and what too avoid so it dosent happen agen??      thks Vrob...

    Most people in your situation spend less than 3-5 minutes reactivating XP by phone, assuming that you have been installing/using XP in accordance with the End User Licensing Agreement.

    Windows Product Activation checks hardware periodically to see if it is still installed on the same collection of hardware as it was during its last activation.  It can tolerate a few changes but if there are too many, you are required to reactivate.
