sync services and partial trust RRS feed

  • Question

  • Do the version 2.0 server-side assemblies:

    Microsoft.Synchronization.Data
    Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.Server.dll

work in partial trust hosting scenarios?

We have an application running on a shared hosting environment that just switched from full to partial trust.
We now get a "SecurityException: That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers." exception when the sync service tries to instantiate the designer-generated class that inherits from DbServerSyncProvider.
We are using version 1.0 of the assemblies mentioned above.

    Any thoughts on a solution?

    Thanks!

  • hi Zac,
No , we have not done any work on making our components work with APTCA. Maybe you can try giving restricted permission set's (NetworkPermission for the host you are connecting to, FileIOPermission to the sdf file and any Sql specific permissions) and try syncing.
