Replies are ignored

Question

Sometimes replies made in the MSDN forums are simply ignored, some minutes ago I've made two replies, the second time I kept watching if I really hit submit. The third and fourth were accepted. So I see no logic.
Makes it stupid to give real good answers because if you make a long text it is sometimes for nothing.

This is an example of a thread where the reply is missing:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vbgeneral/thread/20ca64be-7f50-44a6-95d9-b78331326374
Apart from being quite sure the reply was posted correctly (at least at my end) the thread now appears in My Threads, even though there are no replies from me displayed. So the system knows I have replied, but does not display the reply.

There are two known ways to do this...
1. While typing you click the "Vote as Helpful" button for the post you replied to.
2. While typing you click the "Propose as Answer" button for the post you replied to.
Was it one of those? I think I'll send a bug request out on those now.

If it was, it was accidental and I certainly didn't notice it. AFAICR the process of entering the reply and submitting it proceeded without any oddities.
The actual post I replied to ("In a large loop I first do the graphics (simulation) and then..." - currently the last in the thread) does not have any helpful count and is not proposed as an answer.

I just got the exact same behavior in this thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/transactsql/thread/0c69d3cc-ef17-415d-ad7b-a40fdbc9884b
I posted the answer. Switched to some work. Checked the forum, found my answer was not there, so I posted it again.
Now there is another post in that thread and I see my answer twice.
