Windows 7 Professional - You may be a victim of software counterfeiting

Question
-
5 PC's all created from the same image (ASI oem's) and one of them came up with "Optional update delivery is not working" and the message about being a victim of software counterfeiting after over 12 months of use.
I ran a SLUI 3 and entered the product key from the COA attached to the tower and it successfully activated over the phone (failed to auto activate, requested me to phone - probably an internal proxy issue) and it said it was all activated and genuine.
Two days later it comes back saying we may be victims of software counterfeiting again. Despite this, it still shows Windows is activated, and the Product ID in system properties. I tried to use the online Genuine check (microsoft com / genuine) but it seems to no longer load the program it used to when I used it prior to Windows 8 launching.
I know the diag report below has
File Scan Data-->
File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watadminsvc.exe[Hr = 0x80070003]
File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\npwatweb.dll[Hr = 0x80070003]
File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watux.exe[Hr = 0x80070003]
File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watweb.dll[Hr = 0x80070003]but it is because that WAT folder does not exist on the PC, I believe our administrators here haven't approved the WSUS update that installed Activation Technologies. From what I've read, the 0x8007003 is code for not found?
We have a couple of PC's here that keep popping this message and have tried numerous fixes as suggested by Microsoft but the problem always seems to come back on most of them.

There is no apparent problem with activation on this machine - what happens if you attempt validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate ?
(I would expect it to fail if you don't have permissions to install KB971033)Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth
