smpd daemon is running with user credentials different from user running job in homegroup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

I have two i3 pcs (SAID and SAID2) running win7 (one Enterprise and one Professional) connected in same homegroup (but with two different network names, I don't know why? homegroup in windows explorer on one computer can't see the other computer) using a router and tcp/ip protocol. mpiexec.exe and mspd -d when run for parallel processing, I receive the message: 'Access denied by SAID2. The smpd daemon is running with user credentials which are different from the user running the job'. I logged-in to the two computers using same account and password, same date and time. Any idea why this message is displayed? Notably this message is displayed even when homegroup is canceled on both computers. Also, parallel processing runs OK if one computer is used.

    best regards.
