Default Date in custom field? RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I have created a custom field with type as date and associated the same with project detailed page.Now, I required the today date will appear in the field by default and project owner can edit the same.

  • Hello Anuranjan,

    Open a project plan with two fields (Date field & a flag (Set by user- Yes/No) & record a macro from VBA. On change thevalue of date field, change the value of Set by user yes & record the macro. check the code & see if that helps you.

  • Hello Anuranjan,

    You can create a Date field & a flag (Set by user- Yes/No) & write a macro while plan opens, If PM has not set the value, Flag shows No & field will show Date (Now) using function. If PM has set the value, flag will be set as Yes & will display the value set by user perviously.
