  • Hey pipbow,

I am a Microsoft partner and the only member of my company.

I started out as a Microsoft Registered Partner. Go to the partner.microsoft.com website and register to be a partner.

The software package that your friend gets is called the action pack. It costs a couple of hundred bucks a year, but is well worth if it you sell and support Microsoft Products. But be forwarned that Microsoft is very strict about prosecuting people who buy it just to get away from standard purchase pricing and also for those who think that they can sell the software that comes in the action pack. It is for the partners interal use only.

To qualify for the action pack you have to take an assessment, but those aren't too difficult if you put in a little time.

The next step for you after that is to consider becomming a Small Business Specialist. I did and it boosted my company greatly.

If you need further help, call Microsoft or you can drop me a line.

I do not work for Microsoft, I run a small but growing consulting company in Southern Colorado called I.T. Dimensions, Inc

    Best of Luck to you!
