Hello, I recently upgraded my drive from the OEM 100GB drive to a 500GB drive. The OEM drive had 2 partitions, a small boot/boot manager partition which if a key was press would a allow for a factory refresh boot and the OS partition. If no key was pressed in about 5 seconds the system would boot from the OS partition into Windows Home Preimum.
After installing the 500GB drive I did a WHS (PP3) client restore choosing to restore the Windows Home Premiun partition to the new 500GB drive. Since the system wouldn't boot at this point, I booted from a WIN 7 CD, went into recovery mode and used bootsec.exe to create a MBR. So far so good. System boot, everything seems to run fine.
Trouble appears to occur after I put the computer to sleep. Upon wake up the system becomes unastable, sometimes it will freeze, other times it will start reporting various software errors. Next reboot the systems goes through a CHKDSK. At this point on the system is trashed.
