trying to find out something on the expression forum RRS feed

  • Question

  • I posted a quiestion about auto display of images in one 450 pxel location. I got an email that I had posted it in the Designe forum instead of the esppression web forum and asked if I wanted him or her to move it to the correct forum, I replied great move it. i have been on the forum site for about a half hour and filanly found still in the designe forum. I have tried to find a way to move the post to another forum, could not find a way. SHOULD I RE-POST THE MESSAGE IN THE CORRECT FOURM?? The question I posted is part of a page Designe so I think I posted it in the right place unless Microsoft has decdided that image questions should be somewhere else and not in a place where we designe thinks.

  • Hi Charles,

Thanks for your interests in Microsoft Forums.

It's easier for you to get to your previous posts by cliking My Threads or My Alerts on the control panel on the right side.

As for the email you received, it was just an automatic email notification from the system informing that someone had replied to your posts. Simply responding to the email doesn't mean anyone being noticed that you want your thread to moved.

You can just reply to the moderator at http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/design/thread/aa1c1595-a037-48d0-b2ea-aec1429f0aa6/ that you want the thread to be moved. But, not in the email.

BTW, only the moderator of a forum has the rights to move threads. The proper way to get to the correct forum without informing the moderator is to RE-POST.

And, if you cannot find this post either when reading your notification email, just follow this link http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/suggest/thread/237b29de-4f1d-45f6-9e6b-48be5d10b7bf .

Hope my clarification would be helpful and satisfying.
