    Question

  • i actually did compose and reply to a post to point out that the post had been cross posted at approximately the same time to forums.asp.net and to stackoverflow ...

    my reply immediately vanished.

    why?

the post to which i replied is:

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b9138af1-9901-493e-b605-418d7b6adad1/how-to-simulate-modelstateisvalid-in-c-winform-application-for-any-model-validation?forum=csharpgeneral

    the cross postings are here:

    http://forums.asp.net/t/2042277.aspx?How+to+simulate+ModelState+IsValid+in+any+application+for+any+model+validation

    and here:

    Regards,

    EDIT:

it appears to be a BUG

    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b9138af1-9901-493e-b605-418d7b6adad1/how-to-simulate-modelstateisvalid-in-c-winform-application-for-any-model-validation?forum=csharpgeneral

    with "?forum=csharpgeneral" the above FAILS

    without "?forum=csharpgeneral" this SUCCEEDS:https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b9138af1-9901-493e-b605-418d7b6adad1/how-to-simulate-modelstateisvalid-in-c-winform-application-for-any-model-validation

    EDIT #2:

even for *this* question, same behaviour:

    SUCCESS:  https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/23a05e74-c010-4efb-bb6d-c42c43c4155b/my-reply-disappeared

NOTE:  ¿ is this an issue because of the way that you cluster your social.msdn.microsoft.com servers ?

Some IE11 users complain about things like that.  Which browser?  Which User-Agent string?  What encryption protocol?  (E.g. TLS 1.2 or lower?)  Etc.  Otherwise I imagine a way to simulate the symptom would be to specify InPrivate Browsing (e.g. in IE press Ctrl-Shift-P), which would indicate a problem with your Cookies.  But in fact, it doesn't have to be a problem with your local Cookies; it could be a problem with the Cookies that you are being given according to your account.  That has been known to happen.  Fortunately it often goes away as mysteriously as it comes.  In IE you can use the Developer Tools, Network capture tool to get more details about your case.
