If the failing drive is still connected when you remove it from the storage pool, Windows Home Server will attempt to recover the files that were stored on that drive. If the drive isn't connected, Windows Home Server will (when you choose to remove the drive) warn you that you'll lose files, and (when you click through the warning) delete the files that were on the missing drive.
But no, there's nothing that will list the files for you.I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
My drive lost its file structure and can't be salvaged easily.
Does anyone feel that getting a list of lost files on the drive could be helpful? I understand that any important files should have duplication turned on, but still.
