What is required to make a SIPv2 phone work with OCS 2007? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning,

I've been having a few problems trying to get this to work and various technet/kb articles and forums seem to have conflicting advice!

Basically my scenario is as follows:-

We want to run OCS and Communicator 2007 so that each person has IM facilities and CLI, voicemail, work from home etc.

Our internal exchange server (currently) is 2003 but will be 2008 very soon.

We have 3 analogue external lines - have purchased the recommended Grandstream GXW-4104 gateway

Have a Siemens Gigaset S685IP SIPv2 phone to use with OCS/Communicator

I cannot get the SIP phone to log on to OCS whatever I do and also can't find any documentation for setting up the gateway in OCS either Sad

Do I need to run a Mediation Server?

What else is required to link all this together the get it all to work?

    Your help is appreciated!
