Windows 7 Ultimate Activation Error 0xc004e003

Question
-
Hi Everyone,
I know there are countless articles around the net regarding this error but I've not found one that resolves the issue yet.
I may have overlooked something, hopefully someone can shed some light on it.During activation I get 'Key not valid for activation'
My only guess is that the key needs resetting as I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 version and found it more hassle than it's worth with lack of program compatibility, so reinstalled the x86 version.
I can't get to the screen that offers the choice of phoning the Product Activation Centre as I just keep getting back to the 'key not valid....' screen.
Anyone any ideas please?

BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC table
Your installation of Windows 7 Ultimate is using an OEM_SLP KeySuch Keys depend on a SLIC table in the BIOS to be able to self-activate, and cannot be activated over the phone.OEM_SLP Keys are not valid on retail motherboards, which yours appears to be. The Key itself appears to be from a DELL computer. If you bought this disk set for installation believing it to be a genuine Retail disk set, you have been scammed. If you bought the machine with this Key pre-installed, you have been scammed. If the Key in the report matches the Key on your COA sticker on the machine, you have been scammed. If the Key on your COA sticker is for Win 7 Ultimate, and is different to the one on the report, you can try to use the Change Product Key link on the System Properties page to change your key to that one, and then activate by phone.
