Config HPC Cluster Manager permissions RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all ,

I wonder if it possible to customize HPC Cluster Manager -

I'm searching ways of giving less power to my HPC clients ...  disabling certain rights/permissions/menus -

    Best Regards ,

  • Hi Shay,

The permission control of HPC cluster is done on the server side, which means you can't and should not trying to do that on client side.

The HPC Cluster Manager can't be customized for certain rights/permissions. If you want to limit your user to job related functions only, they should be using HPC Job Manager. And even if we provided functionalities to limit GUI on HPC Cluster Manager, user can always switch to PowerShell or CLI or even undocumented API to do that.

Currently, Windows HPC supports 2 sets of users - admin and normal user. If you need more fine-grained user privlege control, we'll be happy to listen to you here. :)
