I tried to get hold of the latest update. I managed to update two of my PCs but it seems like I'm stuck with version 0.9.3424.5 on my laptop. When I click "check for updates" it says "Live Mesh is up to date". Any help will be appreciated.Friday, January 16, 2009 2:20 PM

You could try to remove your laptop from your mesh, uninstall the software, and then re-add it which should install the latest version. But before you do that please submit a bug report on Connect and attach your Mesh logs, as described on the first page of this forum.

Hi guys,
I have just updated but I am continually having log in issues. Well I don't even get the option to log it. I am running Mesh on my Macbook Pro 10.5.6 and I see that Mesh is installed as the icon is showing in the Menu. All though the icon is grayed out and also Sign In is grayed out.
After a little while I am get and unexpected error window popup and I have to quit Mesh app.
I have collected the logs but have no idea where to say them to so someone can review.

Hi Scott,
this thread is about the Windows version of the Mesh client (your Mac version should be 0.9.3712.831 not 0.9.3424.5). Therefore I'd suggest you start a new thread about this issue.
You can submit your logs at connect.microsoft.com . Please see topic "How to Submit Bugs and Live Mesh Logs"on the start page of this forum for details.

Maybe this thread is related to the problem you are seeing:

I'm using XP SP3. For some reason my Mesh client --version 0.9.3424.14-- stopped working. Tried to reinstall with no success. Then I uninstalled.
Now if I try to install again, setup aborts and I get [80004002] "No compatible interface".
What's happening?

Ben, what is the "Ben recommended" approach to this: pretend to add another device to the mesh to download the latest version, and then install over it?? I'm hoping to avoid completely removing and re-syncing everything. Thank.
(My problem is 2 PCs have updated. But the third doesn't update.)

Hi lakleeman,I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure I follow. Are you receiving the error message in the first post of this thread? (You shouldn't be, since that issue was resolved.) If you're receiving a different error message, please let me know what it is. I'll follow up when I hear back from you.
Thanks,
Ben.

Sorry wasn't clear. Maybe I'm in a wrong thread too. I receive no error. It's just that when I click "check for updates" on my 3rd computer, it says I'm up-to-date (but I'm not, still have old version) -similar to what James079 mentioned above. I'm wondering what the best way is to force the update - without having to re-sync everything.Thanks. Larry

Hi Larry,Thanks for clarifying. This thread may be of some help to you. If not, though, please open a bug through Connect and attach your Servicing log (instructions for finding the Servicing log are in the bug submission Announcement at the top of the forum). Please let me know either way so that I can continue to follow up with you if necessary.
Thanks,
Ben.

I didn't get that bug but since I've updated one of the machines I monitor, I've had some problems. That being unable to "fully" connect. I can connect, the screen begins to render my remote desktop and then it stops about 1/4 of the way down. Then, I'll disconnect and when I look at the mesh screen of devices, it has a (!) over that machine that was a "partial render" and the "connect" button is greyed out.Saturday, January 24, 2009 1:27 PM
