CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011 Upgrade-Concern

  Take the backup of the upgraded database and restore it as the name you want ,

  Use the deployment manager to disable the organization and then delete it.

  Then use import organization from deployment manager.

  I think you are asking for SQL database name, its not possible to change the sql database name.

  But you can change the CRM Organization name.

  Hi Curt,

  From the deployment manager, disable a organization and delete it.

  If you take a backup of the org database and restore as different name./ or just rename the database.

  then use import organization to import the new name database.

  It is possible, I just did it today.

  How many time we take a copy of org and create a new organization.

  I don't think this statement is correct "its not possible to change the sql database name"
