  • Steps taken to repro the issue :

(1)Deploy the DSVM ( Ubuntu) and try to run "az login" command , it results in below error.

The behavior of this command has been altered by the following extension: azure-ml-admin-cli

    (2) Uninstall  the extension "azure-ml-admin-cli" following below command and "az login" works fine

                      az extension remove --name azure-ml-admin-cli

                      az login

AsK:  can you please help us to understand this behavior

    Thanks

  • Hi,

This is caused by the Machine Learning Server CLI overriding az login so that you can log in to MLS if needed. There is an issue where the MLS CLI does not take into account a parameter to the Azure CLI that was added after the MLS CLI was released. You are correct that removing the MLS CLI will fix this. We have a newer version of the MLS CLI that will fix this, and we will include that in the next release.

    Thanks for reporting this issue.
