TAH Process Restarting in 12th Hour at Night RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
We are seeing this phenomenon every day in the 12th Hour at Night, when get this message in "Event Viewer" - "The Main Service has detected that a TAH worker process (PID -XXXX) has successfully stopped." It recovers after some seconds, but if we are performing recognitions during that time then it fails. The exact time when TAH restarts is not fix.

Some times it is followed by this message:
A TAH worker process(PID-XXXX) exceeded maximum start timeout and will be terminated

We have made sure that there are no other jobs scheduled during this time. There was a google update scheduled at 11:30 PM, but that is disbaled for now.

We have tried to make following changes in Speech Server Properties in IIS Manager.
    1. Made sure that Recycle Worker Process is only at 0200 AM
    2. Recycle worker process (in minutes) - has been commented out
    3. Maximum virtual memory(in MB) - has been commented out
    4. In the "Performance tab" - Shutdown worker process after being idle for - has been commented out

We have tried capturing perf logs, that did not showed us system being over loaded.

    System Information is as follows:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 32 Bit OS.
    Speech Server 2007

We have etl->txt logs if needed.

    Thank You
    Harshal
