"Windows not genuine" Acer Veriton M430G RRS feed

  • Having an issue with activation on an Acer desktop PC.  Was on the domain but has since been taken off - UAC toggled off/on, CMD run as administrator etc.

    Any ideas?

  • Hadn't even noticed the date... no one had been complaining of issues with the machine.  It was only because I noticed it myself that I started to look into the problem.


    We have a few other Acers we could try cloning from - alternatively I might just put our own licensed version of Windows 7 Enterprise on instead.

    It looks like you’ve had this problem for a couple of months – it’s now too late to use System Restore.
    There are a number of issues here, which may be related to your having been on a Domain, such as the possibility that there are GPO’s still being applied.
    I would recommend a full system Recovery using the manufacturer’s recovery system to get the system back to ex-factory state.
