How to customize the preview screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was wondering if anyone has successfully managed to customise the preview screen, i.e. the small preview form displayed in a view when you click the little horizontal arrow on the left hand side of the view. I know you can change the attributes displayed but I would like to add an associated entity to display all the products an account has purchased from us. This will only ever be a maximum of 5 hence why it would be nice to display it here rather than having to open the account then click on Products.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Regards

    Shaun

  • Hi Shuan,

I may be worng but you will not able to do this in standard preview pane.

But the way we did this requirement for one of our customer was we develop custom web page which displays list of products for the relevant customer (or account) and we displayed this page as IFRAME Page on new tab on account screen..

or you could develop custom report which displays customer purchased products and display that report in IFRAME on account screen..

  • The only way I can think of doing it would be to roll up the products to attributes on the account via a plugin and then display these attributes.
