Error 0x80070079: The semaphore timeout period has expired. while copying large files to external hard drive. RRS feed

    I am copying some files from my computer having Windows 8.1 (64-bit) to my external USB 3.0 hard drive via USB 3.0 connector. It transfers with good rate at an average 100 MBPS but when I copy some large files or even sometimes I got this error: "Error 0x80070079: The semaphore timeout period has expired." The speed after some copying goes to 0 B/s and then this error pops up While I tried in Linux, I didn't got any copying error and I checked my External Hard Drive for error, but it is working perfect. I also reinstalled all USB drivers and even I tried reinstalling my Windows but I am getting the same error. Give me solution please!
