Resources During Test 70-461 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi There,

I'm looking at taking the 70-461 exam.

It would be my first MS exam and I'm totally unsure of the format.  Could anyone give me a quick run-down of how they work?

Are they written, or on screen, or combination of? Can you use BOL for reference? etc, etc....

    Many thanks,
    Steve

  • Hi,

Here is a bit more information that might help. In general, when you take a Microsoft exam, you have to go to a Prometric testing center.  The testing center will provide you with some paper and a pen so that you can make notes during the exam. You will need to return the paper when you leave the testing center.

The exams are delivered on computers. You are given a certain amount of time to complete the entire exam.

Here are a couple of links that might be useful.

There were a number of posts earlier this year that talked about exam technologies in use and what to expect.

    Good luck!

  • Hi Steve,

the format depends on the exam, but Microsoft will not reveal any insights of the exams and if you're sitting an exam you have to sign a NDA.
