recently bought Windows Live OneCare RRS feed

  •

I just bought Windows Live OneCare and installed it on my laptop.  When installed it only gave me 14 days subscription and on trial period?  Why is this so?  Got so frustrated that I uninstall and reinstall the program but the same thing happened.  What is the solution to this occuring problem?

Also, when I click subscribe it won't let me change the username that was originally created.  What steps can be done to correct this problem?

    Thanks,

  • When you install OneCare, either from the CD or via download from http://onecare.live.com, it is always in trial mode until you complete the activate/subscribe process. The second part of your post indicates that you began the activation process by signing in with a LiveID. If you completed the activation and it tells you that it is due to expire, please check your PC date and time and also sign in with your subscription LiveID (if you activated once successfully with the LiveID and retail key) at http://billing.microsoft.com to see your subscription status. If the LiveID that is currently in the activation LiveID field is not the LiveID you subscribed with or intend to subscribe with, you will need to uninstall and reinstall OneCare in order to clear that input box due to a bug in the 2.0 product.
