custom backup with windows home server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an NAS attached to my network. However, I also have Windows Home Server. From what I understand, WHS will only do complete backups of computers (there are four). Is there some way I can have WHS only back up certain files/folders rather than backing up all of the files and folders on a computer?

  • as far as I know you cannot do this with WSB, maybe you should use a backup software like DPM to backup files/folders

  • You can customize your backup and exclude folders if you wish. However, if you do so, you will be unable to restore the computer to it's "last good" state if you need to.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
