Finding errant workflow RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm getting the error message in the ms crm 4 log file:

Message: This workflow job was canceled because the workflow that started it included an infinite loop. Correct the workflow logic and try again. For information about workflow logic, see Help., ErrorCode: -2147204734

    The message before it is:

    >MessageProcessor start processing message:'Create' for entity:'asyncoperation' correlationId:d3a5ba69-d3df-4688-9e96-7db38c793ca6 depth:9 last updated at: 2011-01-10T20:54:26Z.

From the entire message, I don't see a way to figure out which workflow this is? I noticed this because after only going live a few weeks ago our asyncoperationbase table was at 3.5M rows. I cleaned that out per the knowledgebase article.

  • Try this query in SQL Server against the CRM DB:

    select W.*
    from Workflow W
    join AsyncOperation AO on AO.WorkflowActivationId = W.WorkflowId
    where AO.CorrelationId = 'E8878332-3272-4407-BA67-9B8ABDD28555'

    --pogo (pat)
