Windows 7 Validation

Question
-
I have a very strange problem with one of my clients PCs. We supplied her with a new PC with a Genuine Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. The PC activated correctly and did all the updates. Then we had a problem with the RAM in the PC. Had the RAM replaced and did a repair install of Windows 7. Now there comes a pop up telling the client the Windows is not genuine. I ran the Activation again and the Windows reports that it is Genuine under system properties. But still the Pop comes up randomly. How do I resolve this?

To help us analyze and troubleshoot a non-genuine notification issue you may be experiencing, please download and run the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostics Tool.
Once you run the tool, click on the Continue button, then click on the Copy button and paste the report into your post, along with your question.
Thank you!

To add to Carie's advice, keep the utility handy, run it as soon as you get the next notification. For intermittant notifications the report may not help unless you are actually in notification mode.Wednesday, November 24, 2010 8:31 PM
