    When I open a folder, in XP, how can I make it show details or list instead of tiles?

  • Open My Computer

    click view and bullet the folder view you want to use.
    then:
    click - tools - folder options - view tab - apply to all folders

    Anything there will apply to the whole computer, you can go through the tick boxes as well

  • open the desired folder

    goto view in your toolbar
    click the desired form of folder disply in it.....
    there is an option for list as well as details....

  • Open the folder:
    >Right click anywhere on  blank space in that window
    >Click on the first option:"View"
    >on clicking it,it will show you the five different modes ie thumbnails,Tiles,Icons,List and Details.....
    >Click the desired mode of viewing and you will get what u want
