Folder Restriction on Network Drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All,

I have a network and I have asked to restrict certain users from certain folders. I can manage to do that but what I wanted to do:

if Mr A logs in and s/he only have rights to access Folder 1 ,2 and 3 and other folders are invisible to Mr A but visible to other user who were given permission to access them.

    Its LAN Network
    I have a Domain Controller
I am sharing a Network Drive.
    I have 2 different groups.
Group 1 users are given full rights
And I want to restrict group 2 users as mention before.

    Clients Windows XP Pro
    Server Windows 2003 Server

  • This forum is specifically intended to address questions and answers pertaining to Rights Managment Services in Windows Server. It's not a general security forum. You'd probably get a better answer if you posted your question in the Windows Server Security forum (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserversecurity/threads).
