  • Where do the funds go when I sell an investment.  I can't find it anywhere.

  • Two things for you: From Account Settings, tick TrackCashTransactions. That will cause the investment account to have an associated Cash/Contributions account.

    Next, in your investment account register, switch to multi-line mode with Ctrl+T. You will then be able to switch which account the proceeds go for your sell or dividend or the cash comes from on a buy. Normally that will be the  Cash/Contributions account, but it could be a checking account for example. This would  be appropriate where a mutual fund pays dividends into your checking account, for example. That field is under the Quantity heading.
