CustomerPortal V5.0.7 - Connection Failed - Failed to connect to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I'm trying to set up the CustomerPortal and running into a few errors.  I'm following the Customer Portal Deployment Guide Azure V2.0.  I got the following errors trying to establish a connection to an online instance of Dynamics CRM.

    This error was from trying to connect to the Discovery Service URL

    Settings > Customizations > Service Endpoints.


    This error was from using just the Dynamics CRM URL

    Help?

  • Which discovery service url did you pick in the dropdown on the website copy utility?  Please be aware that there are two separate discovery orgs for CRM Online in each of the three regions.  Go to your CRM Customizations page and get the discovery service url from the developer settings page.  If you are using an old version of the portal, you may have to download it again as support for the new Office 365 (aka: osdp) environment was added later in the development cycle.
