OCS 2007 R2 supported by HMC?

Question

I was wondering if OCS 2007 R2 is currently supported by HMC 4.5
I can't seem to find much about this, maybe anyone here knows this. Or maybe when it will be supported?

Probably not as HMC 4.5 was release before the OCS R2 Release

Is there already info available about OCSR2 and HMC4.5? I can't seem to find any information about this combination.Thursday, April 23, 2009 2:47 PM

Because Exchange 2010 is multitenant by default I think they will pull HMC all together
OCS R2 is still not very multitenant capable so don't expect something soon

I can only tell you that it is working fine as we have implemented it in our HMC 4.5 environment.
Only problems with anonymous user access in LM were I am still confused about as it should not be a solution to have a SAN entry in the cert for every hosted domain.
But as far as I know it is not officially supported by Microsoft so far. I am not completely sure about this...Tuesday, May 5, 2009 9:06 AM -
Thank you for your answer. Did you do a fresh deployment of R2 in the HMC 4.5 environment and did you use a deployment guide?Thursday, June 4, 2009 9:01 PM

I installed OCS 2007 R2 on top of HMC 4.5, everything seems to be working fine.
grossc, let me know how you fix that SAN entry on SSL thing. I'm also struggling with that.

Hi Haytham.
Sorry for my late reply :-)
We weren't really able to fix it as OCS 2007 R2 doesn't seem to be ready for whitelabeling at all.
Nevertheless we needed a solution to make anonymous access possible without SAN entries.
We registered an additional domain explicitly for the OCS Hosting and reconfigured our system and certs for it.
Now all users just get this domain in their SIP URI and the workaround is also acceptable for resellers.
