    Hello,

    I have Windows installed on a SSD and hard drive for data storage.

    Since the last Windows update, i noticed that my hard drive was constantly running after a few minutes. I don't know why and it gets weirder. When I reboot Windows, the hard drive doesn't stop at all. It just keeps making noise, like if it was writing. I need to properly shut down the computer for the issue to dissapear momentarily.

    I tried to check everything I know and all the infos i could find online, but nothing. Nothing on the event viewer either. Having my internet connexion off doesn't seem to affect it and it just never stops.

    Is there anything that could help ?

    Hi,

    If your hard drive is connected to your computer, it is very natural that the HDD is running.
    What kind of noise can you hear?  Please explain the noise/sound concretely. I hope it is not a forerunner of HDD failure.
