Solution import error for Dynamics CRM Online RRS feed

    I'm not entirely sure where to post this issue, since I did not find any categories for CRM.

    I am working with Dynamics CRM online, and came across the error

    below during the import process.

    "The import of solution XXXXXXX failed"

    I am seeing multiple possibilities as for the cause of this error.

    Just to name a few, the profile file was exported from an older

    version of CRM Online, prior to the current version.

    Another would be regional differences since I am juggling a US

    account and Japanese account. (which i believe they should be

    compatible)

    Can anyone provide help?

  • Hi,

    Since, you mentioned you are importing solution to CRM online(i.e., 2016 I suppose), then, the least CRM version from which the solution can be imported is CRM 2013.

    If the source CRM is below CRM 2013, then you might have to move the solution to intermediary CRM 2013 system and then export it from CRM 2013 and then import it to your online CRM.

    Apart from CRM version error, what other errors occurred?

    Thank you for the reply. The original solution I'm trying to import is that of a post CRM 2013 version. (it was actually created on Dynamics CRM Online a few weeks before the "current" version of CRM Online)

    The only error i get is "The import of solution XXXXXXX failed". I never saw this error until CRM Online's recent update. 

    Any ideas?
