CRM assign account and contract records to team or user or both? RRS feed

  • I am in the 30 free trial period and have successfully imported a set of account and contact records. All of the records are owned by me. What are the next steps to creating users and assigning these records to other users and or teams?

  • You can sign into the Office 365 Portal and create users (users and Groups) and make sure you check the option to assign a CRM license.

    Will take a minute or two for the user(s) to sync to CRM

    Then in CRM under Settings -> Administrations -> Users, open the User record and assign a Security Role.

    On the Administration page you can also create Teams and assign them Security Roles

    Then from an individual record, you can assign it to a new User or Team
