Should SyncToy re-copy a file removed from destination during "Contribute"? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a "Contribute" setup, but if I delete a file from the destination I noticed that SyncToy does not see that it is now missing from the destination and copy it again.  Is this by design?  I understand that "Contribute" is essentially a one way echo, but I would have thought that while comparing source and destination it would notice the discrepancy. It appears that it keeps some sort of record of what it has copied from the source irrespective of the state in the destination.

Is my read correct, and if so, is there a way of getting a "Contribute" pair to "refresh" without deleting and re-creating the sync pair entry?
