  I'm working on an application for Windows 8 as well where I'd like to utilized the Face SDK.

  I haven't test this version of Face SDK on Windows Phone 8, thus I am not sure whether it will work on WP8 or not.

  If you are asking the license issues of developing WP8 apps using this SDK, we need to contact the LCA for more details.

  It is both a license issue and binaries release for Win RT. (perhaps it just work, I haven't do the test)

  "You  may  use  or  copy  this  Software  for  any  non-commercial  purpose,  and  only  for
  Windows Phone 7 application development, subject to the restrictions in this MSR-LA.
  Some purposes which can be non-commercial are teaching, academic research, public
  demonstrations and  personal  experimentation.   Notwithstanding  the  above  restrictions,
  however,  you  are  allowed  to  publish  your  derived  software  at  the  Windows  Phone
  Marketplace.
  Except  for  the  above  mentioned  use,  you  may  not  distribute  this  Software  or  any
  derivative works in any form."
