Do rights take time to propagate? RRS feed

  • I have an issue with rights. I have two roles defined for a system; users and administrators. There is an error in the rights for the user so I have been trying to track down the problem rights.

    If I add the rights to the user's role it has no effect but if I add the administrator role to a user it immediately works. It is behaving as though adding a role is respected immediately but rights for a role are in some way cached. Is this the case? is there some other reason why CRM might not respect changes in rights? Is there a way to force CRM to update any rights changes?

    Both the rights and roles are applied immediately, and definitely there is no delay (just refresh the browser and the roles and rights are ready). In your case, you may be do not test against the changes were made (i.e. you changed the append right but testing the append to right). If you describe your roles and rights issue we could help you better.
