media player 11 doesn't recognize authentication RRS feed

    I have authenticated my installation of Windows XP several times and every time I try to run my windows media player it pops up a box stating that I must validate my Windows installation.

     

    So, now I cannot run the media player at all.

     

    Suggestions? Thanks!

    Please visit Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage diagnostic page at http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag

    as we need more information as to what is causing the validation issue.

     

    After running the diagnostic tool, please post the diagnostics back here for further assessment.
