Product key doesn't work RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have had my laptop (tablet PC) for about 4 years, and when I purchased it, also bought MS Office 2003 Professional Edition. This has worked fine until recently. I recently tried to open a MS OneNote file and it's asking me for the product key. I input the one from my original MS Office software and it says the key is incorrect. Help???

I have tried following the link to find out whether I have a trial version of OneNote, but can't click on Help -- About because it's asking for product key and won't let me do anything else. What do i do next?

  • Office 2003 Professional Edition does not include OneNote.  That is why the product key will not work.  You must purchase OneNote separately.

Please run the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic tool as this may help to find more information as to the reason

    for validation.
