Manually scheduled unavailable due to compatibility mode MSPRO, how to solve?

Question
-
Without a clear reason our MS Project 2010 tool indicates that we are in Compatibility mode and as a result it's no longer possible to Manually Schedule taks (this option is simply greyed out). I wonder what caused this situation and how we can get MSPro out of it's compatibility mode so that option of manually sechduling tasks becomes again available.Wednesday, April 6, 2011 10:03 AM

Hi Fernando,
when you upgrade from a previous version, Project Server 2010 is automatically set to BCM. This will also cause all Project clients to run im BCM, when connected to server. You can deactivate BCM by deselecting Enable Project 2007 Compatibility Mode in Server Settings - Additional Server Settings. NOTE: You can't undo this. If you disable BCM on Server, it will be disabled completely and forever, and no Project 2007 clienst will be able to connect any longer! So be very careful by turning off!!!!!!
If you have this issue without connection to server, I assume that either your default type for saving is set to any previous version (File - Optins - Save) or you have opened a file, originally created by a previous version.

Just one question Fernando - you mention that "it's no longer possible" - so were you able to use the manual scheduling for projects on the server and then it stopped working? If not, then Barabara's answer is spot on. When you are not connected to the server you will however be able to use manual scheduling in MSP, as soon as you connect, Not!
