CRM Merge Causing Duplicate Account RRS feed

  • Respected community members,

                           In CRM 4.0,   I have a scenario where User can merge Prospect and Account both together, with Account # and Prospect # different.

         But when they merge Both together and keep Prospect as master record and take Account # as master Number, it create duplicate Account Number because other one is just deactivated , but will show up in Advanced find.

     Any idea what could be done some system will change the fields into Deactivated record??
