Problem with data connector on Multi server deployment RRS feed

  • Hi,

     

    I have a problem with Data Connector in Multi Server Environment, where I am able to see Reports on the server but I am not able to see Reports when they accessed from other machines.

     

    Kindly check below the error message that it showing,

     

    Data Connector Issue:

    Error Message : “Microsoft Dynamics CRM Connector for SQL Server Reporting Services: "Unable to validate SQL Server Reporting Services Report Server installation”.

     

    I also tried the options given in the site below ,but still the issue is not solved.

     

    Options tried: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947060.

    I would appreciate if u can help me out in resolving this issue .

  • Hi,

    you have to change the user for the sql report server service on the report server.

    In a one server deployment the user for crm and sql must be different.

    I am not able to install MS Dyn CRM Data Connector as it is showing error message

    Data Connector Installation Issue.

    Error Details

    A Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server component is using the same account as the instance of SQL Server Reporting Services that you specified.
     

    I am getting error after clicking View Report in MSCRM 4.0 when i am accessing MSCRM application from my PC.

    Note: Reports are working fine if i will login in to the server where i installed MSCRM.

    My Deployment Scenario:

     

    Application Server: Server1

    SQL (DB) Instance: DB\SQL02

    Report Server Instance: SQL01 

    MSCRM URL: http://Server1/OU1

    Report Server URL: http://Server1/ReportServer

    Report Manager URL:http://Server1.Reports

     

    ·         My Report Server is configured in the same MSCRM application server (Server1)

    ·         CRMAppPool: MSCRM is running under this AppPool and Identity for this AppPool is Network Service Account. ReeAppPool: Report Server and Report are running under this AppPool and Identity for this pool is again Network service.

    ·         SQL Server Reporting Services (SQL01) are not running under Local System Account its running under some other account .Option Selected This AccountAnd UID=<XYZ> and Password=<ABC> is given.

    ·         MSCRM Asynchronous Service are not running under Local System Account its running under NetworkService. Option Selected This Account And UID=Network Service and Password=<ABC> is given.

     

    To Resolve this issue i tried to install Data Connector in the AppServer1 where my MSCRM is installed and Report Service is Configured.

    But in the installation i am getting error:

  • Just checking if you actually got this resolved.

    I have changed the user that SQL Server RS is running as but the data connector installation still bombs out

    Any ideas?

  • You need to change the user using the Reporting Service Configuration Manager as that will change the value in all the places needed.  Once you make that change, reboot the server and see if everything starts back up as expected.  After you have a clean reboot, run a repair on the SRSS Data Connector.
