Is it possible to write Interceptors in MS Sync V2.1? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

While exploring MS Sync, we came across "interceptors" and looked for the possibility to use the same to write our own business logic during sync operation with MS Sync. But found the relevant classes available only with V4.0 CTP.

Since V4.0 is not yet released and cannot be used in production environment, can't we use interceptors with v2.1 and wait for the release of v4.0, which is yet to be announced by Microsoft?

  • let me clarify first v4.0 CTP, there is no RTM for v4.0, what was supposed to be the V4.0 was released as a code sample instead which is what is called the Sync Framework Toolkit now. Sync Framework Toolkit is what you may call the "RTM" of 4.0 CTP.

you can always intercept changes in Sync Fx 2.1, after changes are selected in ChangesSelected event, when changes are applied at ApplyingChanges.
