Unable to Access CRM from Another Machine RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have installed CRM on a windows server 2012 DataCenter. I am able to access CRM using Internet Explorer on the same machine on which I have installed CRM.

But when I tried to access it from another machine browser, it says "Page can not be displayed".

Please guide me how to resolve this error.

    Thanks.

  • if you didn't use 80 port to configure your CRM, then you should configure you firewall inbound rule to support your port such as 5555.

  • Now I am able to access the CRM website using the IP address but not the host name.

For example I am able to access the CRM using "http://10.2.0.128/Demo/main.aspx" (Demo is the name of the Organization in my case).

But not able to access using the hostname like "http://crmserver/Demo/main.aspx" (crmserver is the host name).

Please guide me if anything I am missing.

  • seems your issue is about DNS environment so you need to check your DNS server. If you just want to resolve it in development level, then you can modify your machine's hosts file.
