Setting UPN RRS feed

  • Question

  • All,

I have a powershell script that copies a user account and creates a new user based on the existing user. This is done against the on-prem active directory server and works fine with one exception: the account logon name, including suffix is empty even though its populated in the account that is being copied

This is causing an issue after the account replicates to Office 365, as it uses the UPN for the logon name.

I'm not very good at scripting, so I'm looking for some help on how to correctly set the UPN on active directory after the user copy command has completed

  • That is correct.  When "templating" from an existing account you must supply all identifiers as they are never copied.
