Dose CRM Workgroup Edition Deployment manager accepts to import/upgrade Enterprise edition CRM RRS feed

  • Hello CRM experts.


    I have an issue with CRM licensing, If We have Enterprise edition CRM database, if we import the same database in workgroup edition deployment manager will it accept to import/upgrade (any version)??

    I believe it wont work, Kindly let know your suggestions.

  • The import is possible if you have less than 5 users. By default the worker group CRM will have only one organization and will have 5 active users. So the organization that you are importing will be the only one available in the environment. If there are more than 5 active users, you might face challenges during the import process.

  • Hi,

        CRM license is not based on SQL database level. SQL license is based on what features of CRM you are using. CRM Database from one license version of SQL server can always be imported to another one as long it is compatible. Here is a simple PDF from Microsoft web site in this regards.
