Convert Leads to Accounts without creating an Opportunity?

Question
-
Prior to the latest update, when we qualified a lead we could create just an account versus always creating an opportunity. Is there a way to turn this functionality back on? Just because a lead is qualified doesn't always mean that there is an opportunity worth putting into the pipeline.Sunday, March 31, 2013 11:58 PM

This was by design. According to this KB article it may be changed in an upcoming update.
The Convert Lead dialog box no longer appears during lead qualification in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online

Hi SandLapper,
You could give by using Security Roles with create none to Opportunity. So this means when you qualify Lead, it will give disabled button on your opportunity and only able to qualified lead into account
