how to generate an API key for this software RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Wordfast Pro and Classic,  I opened an account on the Windows Azure Market Place, and tried to generate an API key for the Computer Aided Translation tool Wordfast Pro. The question is basically, how do I do this? It is not clear from your website how I do it?
The key is then added to the CAT which enables the machine translation function.

  • Hi MDBobs,

You might want to contact Wordfast on this.  Looks like that Wordfast is asking you provide your client ID but we don't know how Wordfast is using Microsoft Translator.  Please contact them for this information.   Thanks.  Takako (Microsoft Translator Team)

  • I am also not familiar with how Wordfast handles this, but if Wordfast asks for a client ID and client secret, you can generate them here, after signing up for the Microsoft Translator service: https://datamarket.azure.com/developer/applications/.

  • Hi folks, I am in exactly the same situation. Wordfast Pro offers two machine translation options: Microsoft and Google, both of which require API ID. see below. The link they give to obtain an ID is https://ssl.bing.com/webmaster/developers/appids.aspx  I too have signed up but have no idea how to get an id for the service. I also signed up with the azure datamarket but I still cannot find an "id" to use here. As a novice user any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
